I have had a "wish list" set up on my TiVo for anything that has
the word "harmonica" in it for quite some time now (and there
isn't much!). Yesterday it got something that actually turned out
to be kind of cool.
The show was "Steve Harvey's Big Time" and it had this 10-year-old kid,
(can't remember his name... T D something maybe?), that was pretty good.
This kid apparently headlines a show in Atlantic City! [His playing
put me to shame for sure. I need to go full time on the harp... Wait,
I need to eat... Sigh!] Then Steve Harvey surprised the kid by having
Stevie Wonder come out. The look on the kid's face was totally cool.
It seems that the kid mentioned that Stevie wonder was one of his
idols and Steve Harvey happened to be a friend of Stevie Wonder.
While they all were talking Stevie quite clearly was opening up a
brand new XB-40 (I would find it hard to believe he carries them
around in the original vinyl case with the instruction sheet and
cleaning cloth inside!). If I hadn't just purchased one, I probably
wouldn't have even noticed this.
Stevie was quite adept on the thing, of course! The kid and Stevie
jammed a couple of times. I may keep the show for future reference...
I don't know anything about this show except that it was on WGN
here in the Chicago area. It may be a WB show??? I don't know
how often, if ever, this show repeats. If I find out, and anyone
cares, I'll send that off.
[note: I think someone might have mentioned that this show was coming
up but I couldn't find the message to reference them. Sorry!]
