i dunno how far north he lives, but Paul Oscher just
moved to California not long ago. he's a monster harp
player and a good guitarist. a totally under-exposed
blues musician, imo. 
other harp/guitar guys to check out: Stringbean (plays
with "the Stalkers," he's in NY somewhere and John
Hammond. and, cautiously, cause i know i'll get
flamed, i could mention G.Love (of Special Sauce fame)
though he ain't in the same league as Oscher and
Hammond. anyway, i like him. and there's the guy who
started it all, Jimmy Reed (no Reed, no Dylan.) 

can't think of others offhand, but i'm sure there's
