Re: Harmonica that ruins a song.

Sure! And if people still think that harp is a toy, that's also our fault, somewhere, cause as " true harmonica players" (not like dylan!!) we should manage to open up the mind of the people.
ANyway, mind needed to be opened, and Dylan did that job. He has opened the door, so, it is our turn to go throught that door and to show to people what is a " real harmonica player"!

But while we are talking about that, we may miss soime people who are looking for harmonica stuff and we could help! So, let's go back looking for new victims!!!

Hoo boy. Sonny Terry probably was the one who influenced me to take up
harp. OTOH, Woody Guthrie was definitely the one who influenced me to
take up guitar. I don't play much like either of them today. Very few
people would rank Guthrie as a guitar virtuoso. He played just well
enough to accompany his songs. I think that starting to play is more
important than who influenced you to start. There could easily be some
ten year old girl out there who just picked up a harmonica because of an
Alanis Morisette song who will grow up to a complete monster.

The best way to get the harmonica taken seriously is to forget about
whether people take it seriously or not. They can scent the fear.
