For "closer to $100" I'd strongly recommend you look for any of the plethora 
of beginner keyboards by Yamaha.  You can find used ones in pawn shops for 
next to nothing and new ones for under $300 at most of the big box music 
retailers.  Just make sure to look on the back for the MIDI in and outs.
