Re: Potentially Decent Harp Amp?

Hi

Scorcher's right, the problem with the Vintage 16 is that its only channel
is what Carvin calls a "soak" channel. For guitarists it let's them dial-in
distortion at lower volumes, but for harp it's just way to many preamp gain
stages. Things can be managed at very low volume levels, but it's pretty
limiting.
I have a Carvin Nomad (2channels - regular and "soak", selectable) that I
dearly love, but I find the soak channel unneccesary for a good harp sound,
whereas the regular gain channel is just awesome.

Best wishes
