  actually, i'd read this piece of advice even before
i'd bought the SM57. still, i just found it
cramp-inducing to hold the mic that way (and besides,
i just had all that Sculpey laying there, had to do
something with it! ;) 
  anyway... i'm still working on it. it'll be awhile
before i'm sure i want to use the grip.
