Hi Howard,
The reason for not getting a Hi-Z cable longer than 20 feet is that there
will be both signal and volume loss. If you need to have a longer cord, get
a 20 foot HiZ cable, and then get a good quality line matching impedance
transformer, then get a LowZ cable of not more than 100 feet, with another
matching line transformer with a 1/4" phone plug on that end. Though this
solution to cable length may be cheaper, but if you're gonna need to walk
the bar and the audience, get yourself a wireless unit, as in the line of
sight, you can go 300-500 feet.
