melodica amplification

The melodica sound comes out the bottom. I just hold the melodica over the 
vocal mic (Shure SM 58 or 57) and play straight to the PA. If the mic is set 
for vocals it's just right for melodica. In the studio I use the same set 
up. You might want to add some spring reverb or dig out your old reel to 
reel for some tape echo.
