>From your descriptions, I'd wager that there's nothing seriously
wrong with this harp. It's very likely that some particle is wedged
in the reed preventing it from sounding. If it's the primary reed,
not the responder -- in other words, as you describe, the bend still
works but the main note won't sound -- then you should be able to get
to it by just taking off the covers. I'd just open it up and plink
it a few times and see if you can free it up. It seems unlikely to
be an alignment problem unless you dropped it or gave it some jolt.
I also doubt it's really "blown" unless you've been wailing hard on
it.
