Let's be fair, Michelle just mentioned as an aside in a harptalk post
that she'd been taking a bit of a beating on harp-l lately and that she
was glad for the support she experienced on harptalk. The reality is
she did get a really hard time for her confessions of gus post. Not
once but several times. The harptalk community is somewhat more
supportive of its membership than the harp-l community is. Harp-l can
be a contentious list. It's no blues-l but we aren't as friendly as the
harptalk folks. Much of the commentary on harptalk came from people who
are not currently subscribed to harp-l. The two lists are different in
scope and culture and compliment each other. If you read the thread
nothing really terrible is being said about harp-l. The title leaves
something to be desired but what can you do? People see what they want
to see. fjm
