I have a question originally intended for Jurgen Muller, author of a web
page about modifying the input impedance on effects pedals for use with harp
mics. <http://www.e-basteln.de/harp/#power>. I tried sending to Jurgen
directly via the e-mail address on that page, but the message was
undeliverable, so I'll just toss it out for discussion here on the 'L and
see if Jurgen (or anyone else) responds...
Juergen:
Regarding your web page about modifying Dan Echo pedals for use with a
harmonica mic. I almost always use a dynamic mic, or sometimes a JT-30 with
a vintage controlled reluctance element. I am wondering how much of an
effect I would hear if I modify my Danelectro DJ-3 BLT Echo, and/or my Boss
DD-3 Digital Delay?
Another option would be to build the external unit as per your instructions
on that page. But again, how much of an effect would I hear since I'm not
using a crystal or ceramic harp mic? Is it worth the trouble?
Thanks in advance for your help,
MN
