This is actually quite common.  But it's not a bad thing.  All you need to
do is learn to play resonantly on the other reeds.  Going lower?  Make you
mouth larger inside (hint: try dropping your jaw).  Higher?  Make it
smaller.

Wouldn't you love it if ALL your notes were big, loud, and round like this?
