Well, I wouldn't say "always." I saw the Stones in concert recently and, 
frankly, Mick's harp playing was rather lousy - and I'm a fan, both of the 
band and, usually, of his playing. The gig was two nights after he turned 
60, so maybe he was still hung over from the party. ;-) Also, his solo on 
"Like a Rolling Stone" on the Stripped CD is painfully out of tune at times. 
With all that said, he's far and away my favorite rock singer/harp blower.
