I will go back and check for sure but if my memory serves me well, he's
playing that high bendy stuff in 1st (I think it's G on a G harp). He may
not swithch at all as you can play some bluesey stuff low in this position:
the 2nd draw becomes like the 4th draw in cross or 2nd. Muddy'y and
Claptin's "Hoochie Coochie" features a lot of low 1st position. I feel the
"Verve years" were Cotton's prime-what a band! Santana's keyboardist Albert
Gianguinto, Luther Tucker,etc.  I learned a tremendous amount fom those
records, especially those instrumentals like the creeper.
