Daily Almanac - June 29

Harmonica virtuoso Leo Diamond was born on this day in 1915. Diamond began
his career in Vaudeville, working with The Harmonica Rascals, The Harmonica
Solidaires and other harmonica bands. Diamond worked as a studio harmonica
player after moving to California and recorded several albums of his own
music.

own music.

Rock singer, guitar and harmonica player Lowell George died on this day in
1979. George began his career playing harmonica duets with his brother. He
would later go on to found the band Little Feat and you can hear him
occasionally play the harmonica on some of their records.

That's all I have for today. Have fun and practice.
