Unless I missed something, Tinus seems to miss the meaning of my earlier 
post. 

I simply said that in my opinion innovation that meets the need of the music 
you want to play and the feeling you want to express is just great. 

In my opinion, innovation that doesn't meet the need of music, but simply 
meets a desire to see if something can be done, in my opinion, is not so good as 
far as music goes.

I'm not anti-innovation. 

When I was younger, I played golf with a friend. We agreed to only use a 
putter, rather than a bag full of the 14 clubs normally allowed. We played, teeing 
off with putters, hitting fairway shots with putters, blasting from traps 
with putters, and, yes, finally on each hole, putting with putters. We played 18 
holes and it was golf (well, sort of).

Still, aside from being able to say we did it, I'd rather play golf with more 
than one club.

Can anyone steer me towards some commercially available recording of 
overblows/draws done to enhance the feel/musicality of a song? I've got Howard Levy's 
videotape.
