Learn 3rd position because 3rd position is a gas. Buy a Lee Oskar Natural
Minor harp for the same reason. For some excellent examples of third
position, check out Junior Wells Hoodoo Man Blues, Ships on the Ocean and
Hound Dog. Soulful, killer minor key harp work. So why buy a Lee Oskar Minor
harp? Chords and octaves!
I just bought a natural A minor. Let me tell you, if you have to do some
serious practicing before a gig, don't buy this harp. You'll spend hours
playing it. I got so lost in the sound.I want to play reggae, slow funk,
tangos. For a little more than $20.00 you can cover most of the stuff you
used to need an accordian to cover.
Lee Oskar's quality is consistently good, with a nice loud pretty sound. I
like the set up. Your mileage might vary. I highly recommend their natural
minor. Buy one. It's the best $22.00 I've ever spent. I got mine through
Farrell's. Good helpful friendly service.
