I played bass in country bands on weekends for several years, but didn't 
start until I was almost 40. I also play rhythm guitar.
Last year I bought an upright bass and have been playing every week in a 
bluegrass jam, where I play a little harp too.

My harp playing? some days I can stand it, some days I hate how I sound. But 
I persist.
