hey all,
ok, i almost couldn't sleep last night thinking
about all this position talk. kept seeing the circle
of 5ths whenever i closed my eyes.
anyway... i think perhaps i figured the up/down
thing on the Co5ths. someone please correct me if i
misspeak: (using C as an example) if you move
clockwise on the Co5 you move UP a fifth.
C(1)D(2)E(3)F(4)G(5). however, if you move
counterclockwise, you only move UP a fourth. (F being
the 4th from C). i gues using that mode of thinking,
you would move DOWN a fifth from C to F, but i still
find that weird to think about.
i just wanted to make sure there wasn't
misinformation on the list, so whoever wants to jump
in and settle this, feel free.
