i use a mad cat mic thru a tube champ and i have used it thru a solid state 
frontman as well ...the output off the mad cat is nothing like a bullet not as 
hot...but it does have a nice sound with a good tight cup and it lets you do 
all the lil hand tricks you cant do with a bullet type mic.....it's earned it's 
place in my harp case along side my bullet....but im not sure how well it 
would work for a Chrom...maybe just go with a good Stand type mic and not a hand 
mic for the Chrom
