I love my Silvertone 1484 Twin Twelve! I bought one when the opportunity arose based on the recommendation in Peter Sheridan's book. It's got great tone, breaks up nicely & is loud! Instead of fighting to be heard, the band asks ME to turn down! I especially love it when combined with a Shure 545 SD. I think they go for under $300, I suggest you grab one when you see one. Erik
