XB-40; WAS 8-track

Oh, dear. I just re-read my rant on intonation, and realized that a reader
might think I am predicting a dim future for the XB-40. Not at all and not
for a second.

I do believe, though, that it will be used mostly for playing in the popular
positions in ways that are fresh and interesting. The XB-40 will open up
all sorts of possibilities, but these are the ones that I think will be most
commonly exploited and, I believe, most successfully exploited by the
majority of players.

My point in mentioning the XB-40 at all was simply to counter the notion
that this new instrument is going to render obsolete the techniques used for
playing chromatically on a Richter-tuned harmonica. Well, and to try to
make some points about intonation along the way.
