biographies, i'd recommend "can't be satisfied" by robert gordon, a look at 
the life of muddy waters.  i've heard that there will be a bio of howlin' wolf 
later this year.
someone suggested palmer's "deep blues".  a good one, if i recall.  also his 
"feel like going home", though not strictly blues.
