If you practice plugged in, is it because you dig the cool distorted sound, 
or are you practicing some kind of technique? What do you practice? If 
you're playing through a beat up silver face bassman, do you use different 
techniques than if you're playing through an old Champ? Do you use different 
techniques with different mics?
