I prefer the Pignose GV40 over the GV60.

The main difference between the two is that the 60 has one more tube in the
pre-amp stage, making it a bit unmanageable with harmonica.

My favorite Pignose is the B100-VH, 100-watt tube head. It only has two
pre-amp tubes; perfect for harp, clean or dirty. It's my regular gig and
studio head.

The GV 40 is not too bad with a bit of tweaking. Plenty of volume for small
venues. If you need more turn down the rest of the band or mic the cab. It
will save your hearing for later.
