While internet surfing I came across this page for the Des Moines, Iowa blues scene - http://www.cibs.org/scene.htm Check it out, there are nearly 40 clubs that support live blues music! That seems like an incredible number of live music venues for a small city. Anyone familiar with the area? Any other area's with so much support for live blues?
