Daily Almanac - January 18

I have no events to report for today.

In the unending quest for tone there are literally as many answers as there
as harmonica players. Some will hear another harmonica player that they
admire and do their utmost to replicate the tone of that player. This task
is daunting because that part of the tone that comes from inside the player
is quite individual. Even a perfect replication of that player's
electronics will not produce the same tone if the origin tone id different.
Others strive to create a tone of their own. listening to, but not caring
to duplicate the sounds that have come before them. There is no single
answer to the question of tone. It is up to each of us to decide what we
want to sound like and go from there.

That's all I have for today. Have fun and practice.
