I agree. There are certain things that comprise good tone - and likewise,
certain things that comprise lousy tone. The fact that one likes or
dislikes a certain player does not alter the facts of tone. I like Bob
Dylans harp - but he has all the harp tone of a cat with its tail under the
rocking chair. And so what? *I* like his harp work in the context of his
music.
