Vince, the MS replacement reedplates are the same as you'd get if you
bought the more expensive Cross Harp.  The Big Rivers have the thinner
plates common to the other MS series harps.  Perhaps Hohner figured you
might see it like you were "upgrading" your Big Rivers if you got
replacement plates.  Personally, I think the BR plates are pretty fine
by themselves, [and maybe even less prone to wearing out the reeds than
the CH replacement plates because of that difference in plate
thickness.]

The way I see it, I'd like to see Hohner offer "regular" MS reedplate
replacements for seven bucks or so!  Is it gonna happen??
