Thanks for the response vis a vis the hardware part of the
question, how about
the "software" part (can you tell I'm a computer geek *giggle*) ?
That question was:
Question 2:
Would there have been songs more popular among a solitary soldier
sitting by the campfire to play on the harmonica, as opposed to a
song that he would have left to a brass band or piper ?

Granted, it now seems from the feedback on the list is that harmonica
playing circa the Civil War would be far from ubiquitous, when there
was playing......(see question above).
