- ---Same deal here in the West Virginia/Virginia area.While the blues scene
as such has always been tenuous around here,there once was a thriving live
music scene, and blues bands could play regularly, though they didn't make
as much money as rock or country groups.Now...few gigs,sparse crowds,and the
money sucks.Glad I've got a day job.
