Blues singer, sax, guitar and harmonica player Arbee Stidham was born on
this day in 1917.  Stidham began playing professionally in his early teens,
even backing Bessie Smith when he was thirteen.  He started making records
in the 1940's and worked steadily until he retired from music in 1974.
