Re: Small amp

I liked my Blues Jr but I had trouble w/ it overheating. Once I opened my
Blues Junior up and saw the board looked like it had been sent to hell, I
ask my tech... My tech turned the amp on, let it sit for 4 hours before my
rearrival to his shop... Then I came back and saw how hot it was... He
explained to my that the PC board that the new tube amps are made of can't
stand the heat built of during a long gig... He then explained that if I
didn't start cooling (or stop giging w/ it so much) my new Fender would crap
out on me (probably the worst time).. I had a choice to go solid-state or
vintage (pre-pc board). Now that I think about it the tech may have not
known what he was talking about, maybe the heating could be fixed. I ended
up buying another one for my guitar. I hardly used it and ended up selling
it to a guy in Jackson (he loves it)... Is there anyone on this list that
has a Blues/Pro Jr that keeps it running 6 hours a gig, 2 gigs a week for a
few months? If so please open up your Junior and tell me if your see the
coloration from the heat traveling across the board.. Anyone?
