I love my Smicz portablues 110 www.smicz-amplification.com  . It ain't
cheap, but it has been delivering everything I want for over 2 years now.
Even though I use it in fairly low volume situations, I always mic it to get
a balanced sound from the PA. It runs on DC and has absolutely no hum, so
when miked it is totally clean. Also great for studio work (whether you read
music or not).
