I've decided to replace my Chromatic. I love my CX-12 but it's big drawback
was every time I dropped it it broke. Eventually I couldn't glue it
together anymore. For the last year I've been playing a 10 hole Horner 260
which has finally had it's comb split.
I want a nice 64 cause I want the full four octave range.
Here are the choices I've come up with:
Horner 64X
Suzuki XCX-64
Hering 6164
Power modified 64X
Power modified 64X with Suzuki reedplates.
I'm not considering Huang because I find their diatomics too flimsy.
Here are the prices I've found:
Joes virtual Harp House Farrell Brendon Power
64X $197.97 209.99 190.72
SCX-64 189.00 157.95
6164 91.00
Power 64X 325.00
Power 64X-Suzuki 425.00
Any help or suggestions?
I can tune a harp and make adjustments. Are Brendon Power's harps worth the
extra money?
Any other good harp sources?
I'd love to try a different tuning but I only have so much time and it's not
enough to even practice what I currently have.
I'm without a chrom now so I will probably go ahead with this this time.
Sam
