Research on harmonica

Hi list!
Is there anyone out there that knows if any serious studies or scientific
research has been done about the harmonica and or the pedagogy concerning
the harmonica? I am a music student and will, in the next couple of years be
doing a major work about this and I need to know if there is something done
already. Any kind of topic, as long as the harmonica is involved is of
interest.
