Hey Mojo, just to let you know, Eric does not do overbending. He uses a
harp he built for himself with (what I think is named) spanish augmented
tuning or something like that. He gets a complete chromatic scale with
just regular draw bends but as you may guess, on a 4 octave harp the
bends get pretty tough on the two ends of the range.
Nevertheless, he's a true master of this tuning and believe me, after
trying a similar harp, I really don't believe it's any easier than
overblowing ;)
About a year and a half ago, Brendan Power mentioned him on harp-l
after attending a harp festival in France and we had some discussions on
harp-l about him.
I'm glad JJ put some of his stuff on this record so he gets a little
exposure.
