I can't help you, since I never use tabulation.
I am very interested though in this music (especially old Greek rembetika).
If you get reactions to your post, could you let me know what tunes people 
sent you in "normal" sheetmusicform?

PS BTW there's a nice cd by Jason Rosenblatt (not sure of the name) with 
klezmer on diatonic. I don't have it, but via Google you can find a site 
with soundsamples.
