"Silk" Stegner wrote about the Microvox mini-mic:
They do take some getting used to and impedance matching with some amps that
are built for harp
only, like Harpkings, and both the Sonny Jr. 1 & 2, (but that's a simple
matter of an adapter).
This raises some questions, and I would be grateful for any information.
1. What is different about a harp-specific amp and the guitar amps that
harmonica players usually play through such that an adapter would be useful
with the harp-specific amps?
2. What kind of adapter would be required?
3. Broadly speaking, what types of mics are appropriate for use with a
harp-specific amp without an adapter and what types of mic benefit from the
use of an adapter?
4. What is the penalty in tone and/or response if the Microvox (or another
mic that should be used with an adapter) is played into a harp-specific amp
without an adapter?
Many thanks in advance.
George
