Don't touch the amp. She's a thing of great beauty. With a little practice 
you can get a distorted sound from an unamplified harp. I heard Cotton get a 
wall of sound from a vocal mic and PA-not a tube in sight. Loosen your 
checks and lips. With this technique you can vary the distortion, bounce 
from clean to dirty and back. 

Mic's vary, but my 80s Mexican Green Bullet is easy to overdrive, giving 
some distortion from the mic even though the amp is turned down.
