The great Blues master Muddy Waters was born on this day in 1915. Muddy
played the harmonica as his first instrument and later switched to guitar.
After moving to Chicago in the late 1940's he fostered the careers of many
the great harmonica players, far too numerous to list here.

Blues singer and harmonica player Billy Bizor died on this day in 1969.
Billy worked extensively with his cousin, Lightnin' Hopkins as well as
recording at least one album of his own.

Blues singer, guitar and harmonica player Roosevelt "Booba" Barnes died on
this day in 1996. Barnes began playing the hrmonica at the age of eight and
was an important player in both the Chicago and Mississippi Blues scenes at
different parts of his life.
