So Cal Harp Jam!

Well folks, another successful harp jam is in the can and even though (as
usual) I was paronoid we'd have a poor turn out things worked out just fine.
We had several new people out.  Fritz the Harp Mic Man from San Francisco
came out along with his wife.  Fritz is David Barret's mic guy.  I used him
on David's recommendation last year and was very pleased with his service.
Fritz is going to come back down to one of the jams this summer and do a mic
workshop for us

A couple other new faces were Flat Top Tom of Flat Top Tom & His Jumpcats
and his friend Magic.  Flat Top played some mean diatonic and chromatic
blues straight through the vocal mic.  Big tone, great chops, and he can
sing as well.  His friend Magic came up later and brought the house down
with his wicked harp playing and soulful vocals.  We can look forward to
seeing more of these guys at future jams.

Ironman was out again along with his drummer taking care of the backing
music.  He took the time to set up his big PA system so we had big sound
coming from the stage.  The harp amp was mic'd through the PA so it came
through well in the mix.

The Harmonica Honker man Alan Elliott and his wife took a few photos on

Ironman recorded about half of the jam and will be attempting to post the
audio on his website.  I'll send out the link once it's all worked out.
