Gary,the element is a 99-131 crystal element and the 6/47 means it was made 
in June of 1947.If its strong,consider yourself very lucky.They're great 
elements if you can find a good one.Treat it like it was an egg,because if 
you drop it,it could be the end.Old crystals are usually very fragile,and its 
not easy to find a good strong one.The one you have is the predisesor to the 
R7 crystals that Shure used in the later 707A's which are also hard to find,a 
good strong one that is.Treat it like you would a good woman,they're just as 
hard to find!.........Dave
