Jazz and Blues multi-instrumentalist JD Short was born on this day in 1902.
Short played with several bands as well as doing several solo recordings.
Amongst his many instruments, Short could also play the harmonica.

Alternative Rock guitar, mandolin and harmonica player Jay Farrar was born
on this day in 1967.,  farrar helped to found the bands, Uncle Tupelo and
Son Volt.  he is also a gifted songwriter as well.

Country Multi-instrumentalist Jimmy Arnold Died on this day in 1992.  Jimmy
was a very promising rising star in Old-time Country music, recording with
several bands, beginning in his teens as well as doing several albums of his
own.
