Hohner's seen the last of me!

Hi,

I'm royally mad at Hohner! I've been waiting for four weeks already for a
replacement of my C Meisterklasse (old style) reed plates. Now yesterday,
the Hohner guy arrived at my local music store and told my dealer they'll
_start_manufacturing_ the old reed plates again in about _six_weeks_ or so,
because of continued request.
So now I've decided to change over to another brand. And here's my question:
What brand would you recommend? I've browsed through the archives, but
didn't find an answer yet (besides, from Germany, over a 14.4 modem line,
WWW ain't fun). What diatonics play best (IYcompetentO), which ones have the
nicest sound, which are easiest to repair, etc.?
BTW, don't flame me - I know this is a FAQ, but I still wanna know...
