Long before Sanford and Son, Petticoat Junction had harmonica in the 
opening theme same for Green Acres.  Tommy Morgan played both the Sanford 
and Son theme and the Green Acres theme as well.  He also was responsible 
for Rockford Files.  I really liked the bass in Green Acres and one of my 
first awarenesses of harmonica on record and bass harmonica in particular 
was Charlie McCoys bass part on The Boxer on the simon and Garfunkel 
album Bridge Over Troubled Waters. Has anyone out there heard the new 
Nanci Griffith album Flyer?  Mickey Raphael plays tons of harmonica on 
it in particular at least 2 cuts where he is featured playing bass of all
