Several of us had discussed doing an FAQ before, but it never really
got anywhere (my guess is due to a lack of free time, rather than a
lack of interest...that's my excuss anyway).
Bart, if you want to get something started, please feel free. I'm
sure many others would be willing to help.
I was actually just thinking about this again. I was rooting through
USENET looking at all the FAQs out there. We really DO need one.

Yes, Openedness would be fine (IMHO). Yes, adding stuff to it later
would not be a problem (it's just that getting started thing that is
difficult).
