mike, I'd bet its Plyobond.  That is/was the name of the most common rubber
cement, I believe formerly put out under Goodyear's name, then later by
somebody like Borden or something.  Anyway, on your advice, the superglue
has been holding up fine for me as this overblower ventures into the valve
world for a look-see.
