Re: "Can I try one of your harps?"



I'm sure you all know this, but I'll mention it anyway. I had 5 harps, an 
Astatic JT-30, and cord stolen at a blues jam. I had them in a muslin bag 
right at my feet while standing at a counter. I got absorbed in watching 
another harp player, which I think was when someone snatched it. It was over 
$300 worth of stuff. My brother was playing at a jam and had a new harp taken 
from his Lee Oskar slide-together cases while they were on top of an amp. He 
was playing at the time.

Now I carry everything around with me to the bar, to the bathroom, and to the 
stage. 

When people ask me if they can try one of my harps, I tell them it isn't 
sanitary. That's the end of the conversation.
