<who knows the probable cause of a crackling sound in my Fender
Super amp.  This amp has no master volume and it makes this sound(not
a loud sound)  even when both input channels are turned all the way
down. The sound  doesn't get louder when I turn up the volume. It only
sounds obnoxious  when there is no other instruments playing. It isn't
loud, just unwelcome.>

Have you checked the tubes?  When they start to go they make some
odd noises...
